LTC Enrollment Numbers Soar

Region 2 technical college campuses enrollment numbers soar. This fall the LTC Baton Rouge Campus reached an enrollment of 2448 students, Folkes Campus  1033, Jumonville Memorial 389 and Westside Campus 100.

LTC campuses in Region 2 as whole saw a 22% enrollment increase since last fall. Region 2 consists of 4 LTC campuses located in Baton Rouge, Jackson, Plaquemine, and New Roads.  The total enrollment number combined peaked at 3,970 students, up from 3250 last fall.

LTC Region 2, Director Kay McDaniel stated “in spite of a $ 500,000 budget cut that resulted in faculty and staff layoffs throughout this region, we are determined to serve our students.”

The state’s Louisiana Technical College campuses offer technology and skills training in programs that include Information Technology, Drafting, Automotive Technology, Air Conditioning Repair, Nursing, Business, Welding, Machine Tool technology, Culinary Arts, Care & Development of Young Children, Construction and many others.
